AUTISM EVERY DAY
One in 166 children in the United States is diagnosed with autism each year. This stunning figure signals a national epidemic, but most people know nothing about it. Autism Every Day shows the stark face of autism, spending 24 hours with eight diverse families who have autistic children.
Director Lauren Thierry, herself the mother of an autistic son, understands the agonizing struggles facing these parents every moment of the day. Sacrificing careers, finances, social lives, and often their own marriages, these overextended mothers and fathers do everything they can to provide their children with the best care possible. They persevere to get their children and themselves through life one day at a time.
Autism Every Day is a heartbreaking, honest testimony to unconditional love and the power of hope.
